The season 2017/18 almost finished, and it was one of the most successful years in the history of Manchester City. The club played amazing football with a spectacular attacking spirit under the instructions of Pep Guardiola. Manchester City won the Premier League title with a record-breaking of 100 points in total as well as the Carabao Cup against Arsenal.

Football World was involved in the Manchester City’s fiesta in the centre of Manchester where the whole city was celebrating the historic season of the club. Since early in the afternoon, Manchester City’s fans were gathered in the streets of Manchester signing songs and drinking thousands of beers under glorious sunshine. From 15:00 to 20:00 everything in the centre was blue with numerous flags, balloons and scarfs. The Premier League champions celebrated with open-top bus parade around Deansgate and Albert Square. Along with the City’s fans, Tom Ogden from Blossoms rock band was the special guest of this day as well as some speakers from Manchester City Council and Community.

The atmosphere was festive, and the Manchester City players were absolutely happy because they received a great support from the fans. Remarkably, the crowd was signing songs in the rhythm of samba with the names of Fernandinho, Kevin De Bruyne and Pep Guardiola as well as the well-known slogan for the whole team ”Campeones, Campeones, ole ole ole”.

Manchester City’s superstar Kevin De Bruyne claimed at Mirror.co.uk:

“Seeing all the people who want to join us and have a party is amazing. This season has been unbelievable and to finish it off yesterday in the last second to get the 100 points is unbelievable”.

Manchester City won the 5th Premier League title in its history, playing incontestably the most appealing football in the league. The football ‘machine’ of Pep Guardiola was breaking the one record after the other, and the finale of the season is more than satisfactory. However, the key aspect of Pep Guardiola is to keep City’s superstars for the next season to continue in the same level of football. The target of winning UEFA Champions League will be a major priority for the Catalan coach, and the transfer period of the upcoming summer will be very crucial.
